Why choose the ECDL Advanced?
The ECDL Advanced is for those who wish to become expert users. Recognised internationally in over 150 countries, this advanced level qualification will enhance your CV and take your skills up a level.
The ECDL Advanced is designed for those with a good understanding of IT and can confidently use a computer. If you've already acheived the ECDL then the ECDL Advanced is a natural progression of your skills.
ECDL Advanced Training Units
There are 4 modules in the ECDL Advanced:
You don't have to complete all 4 units to gain an ECDL Advanced Certificate as each unit is a certificate in its own right. This makes the qualifcation more flexible, so you can either choose to complete all 4 units and achieve the full ECDL Advanced Qualifciation or just one unit, it's up to you.
If you do complete all 4 units, you will be awarded an additional certificate which identifies you as an ECDL Expert.
When is the Next ECDL Advanced Course?
ECDL Advanced Study Options
For each module you will need to attend 3 days of tutor led training at our Cardiff training centre. This is followed by a fourth day which will focus on exam preperation, looking at past papers and undertaking timed mock exams. At the end of this day you will have the option to sit your final test.
At the end of each day you will be provided with a CD ROM containing that day's course material along with exercises to be completed before the next session. You will also receive a training manual.
Our tutor will support you outside of the classroom by providing email and telephone support. All learners are welcome to drop into our Cardiff training centre at any time where they can get advise and guidance on any element of their course.
ECDL Advanced Testing
At the end of each unit there is a test where candidates require 75% + in order to pass. There are 20 questions in total and you will have 1 hour to complete them. Resits are available.
